Okay, so far this is the only card I have given for Christmas. I bought 3 boxes of cards and so far they are still in the bag from the store. I also have yet to get my decorations out from under my house. I am seeing a pattern here, are you? I gave up on putting my Christmas do dads on my kitchen cupboards and just put my usual decor up there and filled it in with the Christmas greenery I bought at Michaels. I think it looks good, even if it isn't snowmen and angels and santas and reindeer. I can't say I haven't had the time because I work full time, since I am retired. So what is my excuse?? I have none. I guess it is a bit of the blue Christmas that seems to be going around blogland. I keep thinking I don't want to drag all that stuff out and put it all up including my tree when I have no family coming for the holiday. We are thinking of getting out of town and heading south to the sunshine shortly after Christmas so we would just have to put everything away before leaving. So there is my dilemma. To decorate or not to decorate....that is the question.......

I've just put out the bare minimum here as no one will be here at my house for Christmas. A few little things spread around are enough for me. I have my Christmas mugs, my mistletoe and Christmas wreath and a tiny little lighted tree.
That's all I need for sure.

I wasn't sure if I was going to put up my decorations either. My sister maybe driving up to see me if I have the surgery so I thought that she would love to see my house all decorated. I used to hang lights on every door, stairway and window but this year I didn't have the energy. Have a good evening.

Do what makes YOU smile...whatever that is. If that means a few decorations...that's what you do! the Christmas decorating police will not be knocking on you door if you don't put up every decoration you have!
We all have to learn that we don't have to do everything everything everything! I will never learn. Thus my headache this morning!

I seem to feel the same way now. I started out like gang busters and then my get up and go got up and went! Judi is right. whatever makes US happy is what works!!

I feel the sameway too. No one will be here so it just seems like lots of bother. I've thought about getting a long fresh pine garland and draping it over the mantle, so at least we have a Christmasy smell.
