Taking my medicine.....

I saw my doctor on Tuesday and explained to her what I have been experiencing as far as the headache pain when I cough and the congestion in the mornings. I don' t get it but she prescribed me a nasal spray to use before bed and an allergy pill. I told her I had been suffering from this since I had a really bad cold but I don't know if she is going in the right direction. I figured, okay she is the medical professional and I am a Mom, wife and professional laundress, toilet scrubber, and cook so what do I know. I started the meds that day and so far I haven't noticed a huge difference. I kind of thought she would give me an antibiotic since I may have a low grade infection. I figure I will use the sample nasal spray before I buy the actual full size one since the allergy meds cost me 37 bucks with my insurance. I already had allergy meds at home since I got a prescription from her last year when I was suffering from allergy symptoms. Here's hoping I suddenly notice I am not coughing in the a.m. and no headache pain as well.

Sounds like your doc suspected the headache and cough was due to nazal congestion during the night. I have to use a nasal spray before bed or I wake up with a whopper and cough up a lung or two since I had my pneumonia. Hope it works for you.

I hope the meds help and you find out before having to pay for the script!
I've used the spray at night and it did eventually work, but it was a process, let me tell you!

I would call her back if you do not notice a difference.
Dr.'s here won't hardly give antibotics anymore unless you are half dead, that way they keep you coming back.
I hope you can get some rest and heal, it is terrible to have a cough.
Take care

Yeah, what to we know? We've just been saving the planet from the cooties for years! Hopefully these are the right meds and hopefully they are working their magic. If not....let's hope you find something that does!
Get well quick!

Hope you get to feeling better. Don't think it is wrong at all to question a doctor...sometimes it is trial and error on their part but they just cannot admit that. lol

My doctor prescribed a nasal spray and after a couple weeks of use, I've really noticed a difference. I don't have to take any allergy meds and I don't have a headache every day anymore. So, give it a chance.

I love this photo! Zyrtec is a potent antihistamine and sold over the counter now so, you should give it a try. Onset of action starts in 20 minutes. It is the best!
