Quack! Quack!

I think I am getting webbed feet. It seems like the off an on showers will never stop. I really can't complain though because if the weather here in the Northwest was warm and sunny all winter like it is in my former home (SoCal) the terrain would be brown and not green like it is. Why is it that we always want something else. You know, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I think it's time I thank the good Lord for the rain and enjoy the green grass and the flowers and all the foliage that feeds the wildlife and makes this place so beautiful. Last evening I was fixing dinner and realized I needed something from the store so I got in the car and started to drive to town which is 5 miles away and low and behold there was the most beautiful rainbow. Did I have my camera with me? NO! Dang it!! I should start to carry it with me wherever I go. April is usually sunny and cloudy with showers and I love it. So I promise to try and get some rainbow pics in the next few weeks. Oh and I finally broke through and lost another 2 pounds. It's been over a month since my band adjustment and I was afraid I would have a weight gain. I go back next week for my one year appointment and I think I will have another adjustment. I'll talk to the doctor and see what he thinks.

It is the same here...very wet. April showers bring May flowers they say. I wouldn't like living where something is brown all the time so I am thankful for the most part that I'm where I am except in winter and there's not much I like about that season. Ice and snow are not a favorite of mine at all.

"If it's raining, have no regrets.
Because it isn't raining rain you know...It's raining violets.

What cute little ducks!
We had a rainy day yesterday, and in this part of Australia, it's always a reason to celebrate... But I just hope we get a good rainy season this year.

Congratulation on losing those 2 lbs! Goodonya!

Slow and steady wins the race!

I saw the most beautiful double rainbow, when I was in Hawaii a few years ago. It was stunning!

Congrats on the weight loss! Slow and steady....that's what works! We had a beautiful Sunday weather-wise. But, we're expecting snow Monday & Tuesday. Yuck!
Yes....a busy day. Having a family Palm Sunday dinner since we will be gone for Easter. Decided to do turkey & stuffing and a few Spring-inspired dishes...didn't want to do a traditional Easter menu.
As for why I'm doing penance...one too many Hendrick's gin martinis (this is an amazing gin that a very top notch bartender suggested!) on Friday night. After not eating much and partaking in these yummy martinis while out with some friends late that night...I suffered through most of Saturday! Didn't get any cooking done....got some shopping in but had to leave all the cooking for today. I went to bed early, got up early and was able to get it all done! Now, I'm sitting down for a few minutes before company arrives!
Yep, that wonderful gin did me in!

I enjoyed reading your post today. I love rainbows. Sometimes these come in through the window in my bedroom. What a blessing!
