Poor Chloe is desperately in need of both a bath and a haircut. She missed her scheduled appointment while we were on the road and I was so busy getting back to normal this week I overlooked making her an appointment. I will bathe her today since she probably won't get her appointment until next week. It involves thoroughly brushing her out before you bathe her or any matts she has in her hair will tighten and become really knotted. I usually brush her for about an hour before the bath. Poor baby, she is such a cry baby too. If I pull too hard she screams. I have managed to get to the gym all week and that feels good. Now I need to take care of the little girl. I also need to get hubby to take that piece of woodworking equipment he bought out of my livingroom and put it in the garage where it belongs. I found a WII Fit just before we went on our trip and I am anxious to use it also. I tried it the first day and I can see where you can get a pretty good workout with it. I am also happy to report that since I had a little saline taken out of my LapBand I am able to eat much better without getting stuck all the time. I may have a tiny bit added back next month but I don't think I will get it all put back. I find I am not eating larger amounts but I am able to eat a tiny bit more of certain things like nuts and crackers. I also have eaten some (cringe) candy this week. I think I am trying to soothe my psyche since last week I could barely eat anything. Anyway, enough is enough so I have to get a grip on that. I also need to make an appointment to get our taxes done. I usually have them done in early February and since we were gone I didn't even make an appointment. I'll be glad when that is out of the way, I always worry I'll forget something and have to bring it back to the the tax lady.

Coming Home Again

It's nice getting back to normal. Going back to the gym, grocery shopping, catching up with friends you haven't seen in weeks. It's always nice to get home. Like they say, "There's no place like home" Makes me wonder how long it will take before I am longing to run away again. I am very lucky to be able to run away at all. I truly appreciate that fact. I am anxious to try a couple of new recipes I acquired while I was away. Yes, there's something to be said about coming home again.
