Then wrap something around it to keep the cucumber against the skin, overnight / all day if possible. The cucumber will shrivel up (all the moisture comes out of it) and it helps take the sting out of the burn. I am so clumsy / scatter brained and have burnt myself a few times in the past, this has really helped me and I hope it can offer you some comfort if you ever burn yourself in the future :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5711203655747642387.post-4957772190442914682010-02-09T07:49:02.856-08:002010-02-09T07:49:02.856-08:00Oh dear, so sorry to read that you burned your han...Oh dear, so sorry to read that you burned your hand. It is so easy to do when you put a pan into the oven to finishing cooking something. I got little pot holders that fit over long handles and they work great when I remember to use them.Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16675573152135600754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5711203655747642387.post-41585825312579237862010-02-01T17:50:15.677-08:002010-02-01T17:50:15.677-08:00I can only imagine how painful that must have been...I can only imagine how painful that must have been to burn your hand. I had done similar things in the kitchen. What helped me the most was Arbonnne skin conditioning oil. It takes away the pain but most of all it prevents blistering and scars. BTW-the chicken sounds delicious. Congrats on your weight goals. I just read to make a habit of immediately putting a towel or slipping a hot mitt over the handle when it comes out of the oven to help remind you. Tough lesson learned.
