Okay so yesterday I was baking and had my first attempt at gingerbread cookies. I was successful making one "boy" the dough kept sticking to the counter and I couldn't get it off without ruining the "boys" I was very frustrated. I put the dough back in the freezer for quick cooling and tried again on my stone counter thinking it would be cooler and work better. Not!! After trying again I decided I would make slice and bake cookies and that worked just fine. I was a little disappointed since I wanted to decorate my little "guys" but they made the house smell devine and they taste really good. My baking is ready to send to the grandkids. I hope they don't look at my flat gingerbread cookies and think "What the????" I thought of putting faces on them with the frosting I bought but I don't know. Oh we also got more snow last night and this time there is more of it. Here is a pic. Well, I have never tried to put in a second picture and I just realized I don't know how. It keeps putting my picture at the top of the post. Oh well. It is still snowing so maybe later I will have more to show off. Have a Merry day everyone!

I'm glad you got at least one boy out of it. Faces on the others is a cute idea too. In order to move your pictues around just click on the picture with your mouse and drag it down to where you want it. I do this every day in my entries.
Hope you can get it to work. I always center mine, but you can choose at the top how you want it.
Snow and ice here today...Take care!

I love gingerbread cookies but for some reason I never make them. When I try to make them the cookies usually are missing limbs. I am going to start my baking Monday...about eight different kinds. I wish I didn't have to work this weekend. :(
Have a wonderful weekend Kathy!

Hey, it's not about how the cookies look, but more about how they taste and yours looked just YUM to me in spite of the mishap! I could almost smell the gingerbread!
I'm making Christmas ball cookies today (if they have another name, I don't know what it is!) with Jello, sweetened condensed milk and coconut and they're so easy and fun to make. :o)
