I love the clematis, and the hydrangas..They are lovely and bloom all summer. Some people dry and use the hydranga for vases and such. I want to get one for our house soon.
OMG! I am so jealous of your clematis! I have had the worst luck with them. I drooled over them every time I saw them--I must have bought 20 in my lifetime--with no luck at all! Then, 2 years ago, I went all out and spent a good deal of money at a speciality garden center (with the help of an expert gardener!) on 3 vines (red, white & purple) to intertwine and climb up a gorgeous trellis on the side of my porch. I had visions of it framing the entire entry to my porch someday! And, I was ALMOST THERE! It took awhile to get started and finally last year, it was amazing---strangers actually stopped by and commented on it. Well, then, for some reason--Carmen decided to do some outdoor work in the early Spring (the man never does any yardwork that has anything to do with the garden or my flowers!)...well, he thought my trellis looked shabby with all the dead vines. So, he cleaned it all up....by detangling them and pulling them out! THEY WERE THE TYPE OF CLEMATIS THAT GROWS ON DEAD WOOD! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! SO, dreams of a stunning clematis were dashed. It would have been so fabulous this year too! Oh well! I will have to feed my clematis blues by looking at beautiful ones like yours! Thanks for sharing!!! Judi
Love the photos of your flowers. I am not very good with keeping flowers alive. I am trying to think of things to plant that require little water and time. Congratulations on your BMI goal. I like the tracker on your page. What a great motivator. Keep up the awesome work!
Kathy--What a gorgeous blog you have! Love the scrapbook feel to it. I wanted to come by after seeing you visited my site. Thanks so much for stopping in. Hydrandeas are my favorite! U must have a gorgeous garden! God Bless, Cheryl.
My husband and I both retired almost 9 years ago and moved to Oregon. We love it here. I had Lapband surgery in 2008 and I'm still trying to lose the last 20 pounds. I recently started quilting and I find it very rewarding and fun. I also love to cook and try new recipes.

Kathy,
They are all so beautiful!! I have clematis in my back yard. Every year I try to plant more vines.
Good luck with them! What gorgeous color you'll have around your house!

So pretty! I love the light green of the fern.
They are all lovely. I've always wanted to grow hydranga's, but for some reason, I've been afraid to try.
